Green Smoothie Fast Day 2.

My workout yesterday was rough. It was my first day back in the gym. I did really well for the first 40 minutes and then I got very nauseous. When I got back, I ate a banana. I think that I just didn’t eat enough before the workout. I think that a couple of smoothies a day that I make during this time need to have some type of nut protein in them. I’ll either use almond milk that I make myself, cashew milk for a treat or a tablespoon of some type of raw nut butter.

Now for what’s happening on day 2. This morning I woke up with a headache and I felt totally nauseous. Both of these things could be happening because I’m detoxing. I’m not sure. We’ll have to wait and see.  I ate a banana and then I made a smoothie a couple of hours later.

Recipe for Day 2 Smoothie:

1 Peach, 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder, a big handful of spinach, 1 tablespoon of raw cashew powder, water, ice.

It was delicious and I’m feeling much better. I’m thinking that the cashew butter gave me enough healthy fat and protein. This green smoothie fast is an experiment. I’m sure it will take about 5 days to get the proper balance of what’s right for me. Remember that everyone is different which is why I’m reluctant to tell you how many smoothies I’m having a day. The answer to that is that there is no set number. If I’m hungry, I make one. I don’t think it’s necessary to have an exact limit. In terms of loosing way, I’d say to watch the nut and nut butter intake but that’s about it.
