Eleanor Roosevelt quote about Fear.
Some of my clients are reluctant to let go of certain things, jobs, and people in their lives because of fear. They’re afraid of what will happen if they have to deal with life without X. My worst fear was the idea of losing my father. I thought I’d be alone and that I wouldn’t be able to cope with life in general. I had this fear for many, many years. In January of 2010, my father passed away. In the summer of 2009, my dad got very sick and that’s when I started to have to face my fear. I lived through it and I’m thriving. Facing a fear is a very powerful thing because a fear can have a very tight grip on your life. People make huge decisions in their lives based on a fear. This quote from Eleanor Roosevelt is very true and it’s something to remember. It’s what happened to me. Ā (I found it while reading Bethenny Frankel’s new book called A Place of Yes.)
“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, “I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along. ” -Eleanor Roosevelt
